With uni and placement over, there's no reason why I should not be updating right?
Am feeling slightly scattered at the moment because I mis-set my alarm clock this morning to 6:30am instead of 5:30am.... at 6:25am, dad came in and asked if I needed to go to work. Which was affirmative. Then he said, "... it's 6:30 now." Rushed out of the house in 3 minutes after a quick wash of face, brush of teeth and jumping in uniform. Managed to get to work just 5 minutes late. It's never happened before!!!! I blame all that wicked wings and coleslaw from KFC last night.
Shall make this entry a DIY entry! =D Hardly get those anymore because I haven't been cooking recently, but here goes~ first up, dumplings!

Note that we're not professionals. Wait, I think you can see that for yourselves anyway. Yea... recipe was based off a book.

Pre-made skin. I know, some people are dedicated and make their own skins... which is crazy, I can never get how those chefs can flatten a perfect circle of skin with their butcher knife...

Meat mixture which was mostly cabbages (which we tediously chopped up into fine pieces without any machine...), minced meat and shallots.

I used my phone to take these pictures cos I forgot to put the SD card back into my camera after its last transfer of photos before that.
One more!!

The most refreshing and healthy drink this summer! Completely DIY~ no Easyway crappy sugar tea! You should all throw that Easyway membership card away, because you can make your own cold tea at home. Or if you're reaaaallly desperate, go to ChaTime. It's much better for you!

Dried tea leaves. Please don't use tea bags, or else use a filter bag and MAKE your own teabags out of proper tea leaves...
From Weeks 49-52 |
We used a dodgy brand of tea leaves, but it still makes better tea than teabags.
From Weeks 49-52 |
Pretty simple process. Just rinse the tea leaves, then fill the pot/flask up with room temperature water. Leave to steep for a couple of hours in the fridge till it's cold... we tend to leave ours overnight.

Then it's ready~

Drink! You can refill it if you don't mind diluted tea, or else, just make another batch... not hard! I guess the only bad thing about this is the waiting time. Because you're using cold water, it takes a while to brew... my brother started us off on this cold brew tea and said (not sure if it's proven) that cold brew tea has less caffeine in it. Hm....

Oh! I got my 2011 diary from RSPCA! Went around to many pet shops with BT when we went out last time XD

Used to always get my diaries from Smiggle, but their diaries keep getting uglier and poorer quality with each passing year, so decided to change for next year.
Last time, my keyboard broke and I was really sad cos all the stickers were stuck on that keyboard. The new keyboard was really boring, so after being unsatisfied with it for a while, I found keyboard stickers and ta-da!

All pretty =)
Next DIY recipe I want to try is BaGua!! =D Shall need to visit the chinese grocery store first to get ingredients.... might have to postpone it till after Christmas... hm....

The dumplings are nice and easy to pan fry when fresh, but they stuck to the pan after leaving them overnight.. maybe because we used cornstarch, should use plain flour next time.
And ew.. coleslaw.
Rinsing the tea leaves reduces the caffeine I think..
Did you pan fry your dumplings? And I agree about bagless teas! Will try to drink only that from now on...
Sorry, that's me btw - Fi.
We did pan fry the dumplings... and fi, this is so much better than those lemon tea you like so much! And it doesn't taste half bad either, definitely try it and tell me if you like it! =D
btw, off topic, but when are you and shawn available for badminton?
